Another success for the 5th Annual Subaru Paddlefest!! The torrential downpour added a new twist of excitement for racers and spectators alike. Spectators enjoyed watching the hard-core marathoners sloshing through major puddles and rivulets on their portages. Our top 3 Fun Race boats were paddled by youths--all with big smiles and soaked bodies!

Calvin Hassel of Nebraska reclaimed his #1 title of the Solo-Canoe Pro Marathon. Matt Streib, our Fluid Fun sponsor, had a definite victory in the Solo-Kayak Pro Marathon. We had our highest participation ever in the women's canoe and kayak marathons--Sonja Gilman took the kayak champion title and Amy Solak won the canoe title. Percy Williams, representing Subaru of America, presented all our Pro Marathoners with generous cash awards.
