Memorial Hospital Team Challenge

The Team Challenge offers a fun, cooperative opportunity for your corporation, organization or church. Is your business looking for exciting challenges and teambuilding for workers? Or, how about just rewarding your hardworking staff and giving them an opportunity to relax and renew? Do you want to build a camaraderie spirit within your organization or church?

Canoe racing is exhilarating and fun! Participating as a corporate team increases your visibility in the community. This race can be an opportunity for business publicity. Don't miss out on showing Michiana the perseverance, strength, good will, adventurous spirit and fun that makes up your business, organization, or church. All staff and/or members should come to participate or cheer on their teams!

Each place of business or organization can have as many participants as are willing. Bring your own canoes or use canoes from St. Patrick's County Park.

Participants will race a 2-mile looped canoe course. The race begins and ends at St. Pat's Park. The number of 2-person units per organization team is not limited. Each 2-person unit must include one male and one female!

Each organization's top three teams will receive points according to their resulting placement. There will be one overall winning corporation for the race.

Organization teams must select a team name and captain.

• Each team member must sign the liability waiver.
• The fees for each canoe range, according to dated submission, from $40 if registering by June 18, but $50 if registering during the last week.
• Teams may have personalized t-shirts with their team name on the back. This is an additional $45 (a one-time fee for the entire organization). Any team registration received after May 15 will not receive the specialized t-shirt.
• If using online registration and registering by May 15 and want specialized t-shirts, you can email or mail your one-color logo to:

• If using mail-in registration, all team entries and fees must be submitted together in one envelope. Include a simple logo postmarked no later than May 15, 2006.
• The team captain is responsible for picking up and distributing the team race materials to team members.
